Great Walls of Grammar!

In this workshop, we will explore interactive grammar activities and color-coded architecture that make learning grammar meaningful, engaging, and colorful! We will build a beautiful wall from the small elements of language. The fundamentals of grammar act as the foundation in building students who can write! When you implement this system of a color-coded Grammar Wall, your students are provided a concrete, colorful method for learning the functions of parts of speech and sentence structure. You will learn explicit routines for introducing and reinforcing the parts of speech, and strategies that promote students’ use of fundamental grammar in oral and written expression, in a way that is hands-on and FUN! Standards for Speaking and Listening (SL.1 and SL.6) Language (L.1 – L.6) and Writing (W.1 – W.6).
